The Bolton Hall of Fame is intended to recognize Bolton alumni, staff, teams and benefactors for their outstanding achievement,  positive accomplishments, and contributions to society. The second annual Hall of Fame induction will be on April 25, 2025.

Bolton High School has a rich history of tradition and excellence, and this year, the Alumni Association has added a new tradition to the list. In March 2024, the inaugural class of the Bolton Hall of Fame was inducted. 

The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to uphold the honor and fame of Bolton High School and establish a valuable link to the past and present students and staff of the school. For almost 100 years, Bolton has graduated students who have gone on to become strong leaders in a variety of fields and communities. Hall of Fame inductees, by virtue of their integrity and accomplishments, serve as ambassadors of Bolton High School and provide connection and inspiration to current students as well as the community.

Nominations for the Hall of Fame are due on October 1, 2024. The induction ceremony is scheduled for April 25, 2025.

Who is eligible for the Hall of Fame?

Evaluation Criteria
  • Distinction

    Nominees shall be Bolton alumni who have achieved distinction for job-related achievements, professional honors and awards, civic or community involvement, personal achievements or accomplishments, or other appropriate qualifications which committee members believe merit consideration.

  • Contribution

    Bolton alumni who attended BHS for at least two years, staff members (teachers, administrators, coaches and support staff) who have served Bolton for at least ten years, benefactors or special contributors to Bolton High School, and teams of Bolton that attained a special level of achievement to distinguish themselves in school history.

  • Character

    Nominees must possess good character and live a lifestyle of integrity. Nominees must be a minimum of 21 years of age at the time of nomination. Nominees may be living or deceased.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nominations can be submitted online through our website, or they can be downloaded and mailed to our P.O. Box. Nominations for the 2025 Hall of Fame Induction will open on March 18, 2024 and are due by October 1, 2024.

Anyone can sponsor a nominee for the Hall of Fame. Nominees must be alumni or staff members who meet the evaluation criteria.

Absolutely! Nominees who are not selected for the Hall of Fame will remain active for the next three years. There is no limit to the number of times a person can be nominated.

The Hall of Fame nomination form includes six different categories; no more than two inductees can be selected in the same category in the same year. All nomination forms for the 2024 Hall of Fame must be received by November 1, 2023. The Committee may nominate an individual/team if there is evidence from the majority of the group of a possible nominee missed in the process.

After nominations have closed, the Hall of Fame Secretary will collect all nominations and prepare a packet of nominations/information to distribute to the Hall of Fame Committee.

This committee will have at least 15 days prior to the committee meeting to review packets. Additional documentation may be requested by the committee.

At the meeting, the committee will discuss nominations and vote. Selection is by 75% approval by the voting committee members. Vote will be by secret ballot. The secretary will hold ballots.

Inductees (or in the case of a deceased inductee, family member) must be able to attend the induction ceremony on April 25, 2025.

There is a Hall of Fame Committee, a committee formed by the Bolton Alumni Association, to oversee all activities related to the Hall of Fame. This committee represents active members of the Alumni Association from a cross-section of decades. All nine of these members are graduates of Bolton, and are voting members. 

In addition, there is a broader voting committee which also participates in voting but has no other defined responsibilities for the Hall of Fame.
